Nia is a low-impact movement technique, inspired by dance, martial arts, and mindfulness practices. Nia is easily adaptable to all levels of fitness and experience. Nia creates a playful and powerful experience, boosting pleasure, strength, mobility, stability, and overall well-being. Small group classes are facilitated in a relaxed, welcoming, and non-judgmental atmosphere.

Ongoing Wednesdays, 5:30-7:30 pm. Feel like a new, fun and challenging hobby? Give Argentine Tango a try. Confirm dates as there is no dancing during breaks.
We will do individual exercises and partner activities to understand this improvisational dance! We will explore various concepts of connection (to oneself, to the music, to the dance partner, to the dance floor, to other social dancers).
Parking is available on campus after 5 pm.
What to wear? If you own a pair of salsa shoes, jazz/ballet flats, or Toms, those work great. If not, bring a thick pair of socks to dance in. Partner Dance? You are welcome to join with or without a partner. Those who come alone will be paired up.

Fri 4 Mar 2022, 7-8 pm. I am excited about teaching belly dance again. This is a technique-oriented class that will be basic enough for all levels to get something out of it. Targeting balance, technique, sharpening hip movements, introducing new movements and combinations, working on posture. Including a short choreography on each class and adding improvisation as practice for fluidity and individual creativity purposes.

Every Thursday, the classes will be followed by a "Bachata Boulevard" social dancing event, to practice your moves and socialize with the members.

Targeting balance, technique, sharpening hip movements, introducing new movements and combinations, working on posture. Late Night Dance at Salsa Mundial
Sweet Swingouts is back again, this time in a bite-sized package.
Professional dance instructors Andrea and Forrest Phoenix will be guiding us through four hours of Lindy Hop swing dance instruction from 12 PM - 4 PM in the beautiful Rion Ballroom of the Reitz Student Union on UF's campus.
In the evening, we will be hosting the main social dance in the same location. At 7 PM, the beginner Lindy Hop lesson begins. At 8 PM, a live band will jump with us through the night.
We will finish off the evening with a Late Night dance at cozy Salsa Mundial with three hours of DJ'd music from some of the best swing deejays in Florida.
To attend this event, you must provide either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test taken within 48 hours of the event. Masks will also be required to participate in lessons and dances.
