We dance to the great music of the classic swing and jazz era as well as lots of newer music up to contemporary times. You dance at a comfortable speed. Lindy is a great dance for learning musicality and improvisation.
The second dance is the exhilarating Hustle. This is the dance that kept partner dancing alive during the 1970s and 1980s. Hustle inspired the cool moves you see in Salsa. Sat 22 Oct 2016, 8 pm-12 am. On the 13th of October 2015, a few of us decided to embark on an audacious journey to share our passion for Latin dance with the Gainesville community. We ca not believe it is already been a year. Without the support of our friends and family in the dance community, our conversation over a few beers would have never turned into reality. Your support has been invaluable. We promise to continue sharing our passion and inspire as many as we can.
It is time to celebrate our first anniversary.
Please join us for our Halloween themed anniversary social. To mark this day, we will have three workshops before the social (more details to follow). Guest DJ Mike Johnson will be in the house, playing your favorite Salsa and Bachata music all night long.
Come with your Halloween costume on and let’s celebrate. Last but not the least, we will have dance performances during the social.
Workshops start at 7pm, followed by the social from 10p ... The Movement, 1212 N Main Street, Gainesville. Jose, 888-616-4786. Salsa Mundial - [more][facebook][email][events]
