Nia Holistic Movement with Sarit

Ongoing Wednesdays, 12-1 pm. Join Sarit for weekly outdoor Nia classes at the Thomas Center Gardens. Nia is a low-impact movement technique, inspired by dance, martial arts, and mindfulness practices. Nia is easily adaptable to all levels of fitness and experience. Nia creates a playful and powerful experience, boosting pleasure, strength, mobility, stability, and overall well-being. Small group classes are facilitated in a relaxed, welcoming, and non-judgmental atmosphere. Art and Mindfulness Nia and SloMo Mindful Movement with Sarit

Sat 25 Jan 2025, 10-11 am. This series of guided meditations, led by instructors from the UF Mindfulness team, is inspired by art in the Harn collections and held at the museum. Take a break from your regular schedule to slow down, experience stillness, and re-charge. Forty minutes of guided meditation is followed by an art spotlight tour. Facilitator: Sarit Sela Nia is a joyful blend of dance, martial arts, and intuitive movement to music after tuning their bodies and senses. SloMo is a slower, guided movement flow and meditation designed to promote balance and inner peace. Beginners welcome. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and shoes (or are even invited to participate without shoes). This session is free, but registration is required to save your spot.
