Hey dancers! I have been dancing for almost ten years, and teaching and loving balboa. I want more people to fall in love with it, so I'm hosting this free beginner workshop to build your balboa from the ground up! Balboa is a style of swing dance that developed in the early 1900s in southern California and is still widely popular today. If you haven't danced balboa before, or have only had a few lessons, this mini workshop will familiarize you with the basics to start you on your balboa journey. There will be both instruction and time for social dancing to practice and have fun with what you learned!
Location: University of Florida J. Wayne Reitz Union, lower level, Dance Studio A
Parking: Parking in the Reitz Union parking garage is free after 5pm. Restrictions are also lifted in a number of parking lots on campus.
