Calling all hep cats. That means you.
You are invited to a formal dinner and dance hosted by the Florida Swing Dancing Club.
This 1930s-style Supper Club event will take place in the lovely Ríon Ballroom of the Reitz Union Hotel on April 21st: There will be live music, dinner, and of course, plenty of dancing. You will see everything from Savoy Style Swing, East Coast Swing, Hollywood Swing, Fox-Trot, Peabody, Balboa, Shag, Charleston, and more.
And the best part is, it’s all FREE.
The event starts at 7:00 pm and continues until 11:00 pm. Dinner will be served from 7 pm to 8 pm.
No experience with any type of dance? No worries! We will be starting the night with a beginner Swing Lesson during the dinner hour for those interested and our more experienced dancers will guide you through the steps all throughout the night.
No partner is required. Just bring your awesome self to the event and invite your friends to join you.
Formal attire highly suggested. This is 1939.
This event is open to everyone. That means students, non-students, locals, non-locals, and you.
