These classes cater to new dancers, that is those people who have never danced before. If you have wanted to dance, but been apprehensive about going, these sessions are for you. Everyone learns at their own pace. These are social dance classes. The focus is on having fun, while you learn to dance with a partner. You build your confidence in a non-judgmental atmosphere.
Safety comes first. These are gentle classes. There is no pushing and no pulling. Everyone does their own dancing.
Couples friendly classes. You can dance just with your partner, if you like. You do not need to rotate. You can rotate as much or as little as you like.
Singles friendly classes. You do not need a partner. We do rotate partners, so you get a chance to dance with everyone else.
No experienced needed.

On Thursday nights, learn basic, social Rumba (and Salsa) and slow Waltz, which you can use at social dances. You will also learn how to mix Rumba (and Salsa) in with your Swing dancing for added variety.
We are doing a short, 3-week series, before our next 6-week series starts. During these 3 weeks, you will learn the basics of some useful, often played social dances. The more dances you know, the more dances you can do at a social.
On Monday nights, the dances you will learn are Hustle and Foxtrot.

Be There. Be Moved
Be there for performances of contemporary dance, hip-hop, ballet and West African dance in dialogue with visual art. Be moved by facilitated discussions and interactive movement experiences for visitors of all ages. Harn Museum of Dance calls upon the democracy of the body to awaken an active, engaged and empathetic present.
