Sun 5 Feb, 2-3:30 pm. Waltz Workshop by Donna Hunt
Escape to Wa Wa Land for a Waltz Workshop featuring Optical Illusion and Tandem Turns. To facilitate creation of these figures, transitions into Cape and Promenade positions will also be reviewed. While in Wa Wa Land there will be plenty of time for practice with partners to music. No partner necessary just a passion for waltz.
Donna Hunt has been an avid dancer since the late 1980s, enjoying a variety of dance styles including Contras, Squares, Cajun/Zydeco, Swing, Waltz, Irish Sets, Appalachian Clogging and English Country dancing among others. In addition to presenting workshops on any topic related to Contra dancing, Donna teaches couple dancing for Waltz, Swing and Schottische.
The Waltz Workshop from 2 pm to 3:30 pm will be followed by our regular 1st Sunday contra dance featuring The Old Town Band and caller Donna Hunt
$13, $8 age 16 to 25 Waltz + Contra.
$5, $3 age 16 to 25 Waltz only.

Sun 19 Feb, 10:30 am-1:30 pm. Greetings vintage waltzers.
Don Page will be there by 10:15. Set up should not take too long. Rena's Ballroom has plenty of tables, chairs and other amenities to help us be very comfortable. Parking space extends east and west along the back of the studio building.
Invite a new dancer. Bring a friend. First time attendees get in free. Otherwise, $5 students. $10 adults. Please wear non-scuff shoes in the building.
Please bring a covered dish to share. Don will have the coffee on for you. Please wear non-scuff shoes in the building.
Bob has disallowed me making coffee there as he said that there is a chance doing so would trip a circuit breaker and shut down one of the air conditioners. Bob has another coffee option there that might interest you. Some have said that it is delicious.
